Physical Therapist

cdddaec7-aba Physical Therapist Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a Physical Therapist to work with our Good Samaritan locations in Waukon and West Union, IA.

The Physical Therapist will plan, organize, and deliver physical therapy programs to help clients/patients/residents recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities.

Responsibilities:

Conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease
Utilize tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following safeguards
Document client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation and establish therapeutic plans
Educate clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises
Demonstrate and incorporate knowledge of current research into daily treatment of clients/patients/residents
Treat individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses and disorders
Follow and adhere to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organization
Exhibit flexibility with acceptance of variable work schedules/assignments
Participate in activities to promote the department, Good Samaritan Society, and Sanford Health
Supervise assistants, aides, and students as needed
Provide ongoing education and training to peers

Qualifications:

Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure
Licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist
Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment
