Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating a team of geotechnical specialists and contributing to their development
• Leading complex geotechnical and hydrogeological projects from study to advisory services
• Advising clients on foundations, settlement calculations, infiltration and pumping studies, and soil mechanical issues
• Monitoring the quality of investigations, reporting, and technical recommendations
• Acting as an internal and external contact point for geotechnics and soil mechanics
• Contributing to the further development, innovation, and strategic growth of geotechnical activities within EFI Global Belgium

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A degree in a scientific field such as civil engineering, industrial engineering, geology, or a comparable qualification, or equivalent relevant practical experience
• At least 8 years of experience in geotechnical research, geotechnical consulting, or soil mechanics, supplemented by experience in a coordinating or leadership role
• Experience in coaching, guiding, and developing employees
• Experience in successfully managing multiple projects, stakeholders, and priorities simultaneously
• The ability to translate complex technical issues into clear and practically applicable advice
• Good communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and a driver's license B

Knowledge of French and/or English is considered a strong asset.

As a Technisch veldmedewerker bodemonderzoek, you'll work on soil and environmental research projects in Flanders and occasionally in Northern France. You'll collect samples and data that form the basis for further analysis and reporting by our experts.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct manual and mechanical environmental drilling
• Take soil and groundwater samples according to proper procedures
• Perform infiltration tests and asbestos sampling
• Work with technical equipment, machines, and measuring instruments
• Travel from Waregem to project locations in Belgium and sometimes Northern France
• Collaborate safely and correctly with colleagues on site

Requirements:

• No experience in soil research is required, but experience in construction, agriculture, mechanics, maintenance, or another technical environment can be relevant
• Technical insight and willingness to learn working with machines and materials
• Ability to take responsibility and work accurately
• Self-motivated and able to work well in a team
• Valid driver's license B
• Driver's license BE or C, VCA, or experience with soil research is a plus
