Job Summary: As a Salaried GP, you will be responsible for undertaking duties including surgery consultations, telephone/video consultations, and queries, as well as paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. You will make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, assess the health care needs of patients, and develop care plans in consultation with patients.

Main Duties:

• Undertake surgery consultations, telephone/video consultations, and queries, as well as paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion
• Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems
• Assess the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
• Effectively manage own time, workload, and resources
• Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
• Develop care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols
• Admit or discharge patients to and from the caseload and refer to other care providers as appropriate
• Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
• Contribute to QOF requirements and record data appropriately
• Contribute to PCN requirements and record data appropriately
• Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions
• Prescribe in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate and review as and when required

Person Specification:

• GMC Registered MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Inclusion on the Performers List
• Medical Indemnity
• Experience with British Health Care and Primary Care Systems
• Enhanced DBS Check
• MRCGP and SystmOne clinical system desirable
