Here, there&#39;s no limit to what you can achieve.</p>\n<p>As a General Adjuster, your primary purpose will be to investigate claims against insurance or other companies for personal, casualty, or property loss or damages, and attempt to effect out-of-court settlement with claimant.</p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Handle complex losses locally unassisted up to designated authority, and assist on larger losses, including handling accounting-based losses (business interruption and stock)</li>\n<li>Examine claim form and other records to determine insurance coverage</li>\n<li>Interview, telephone, or correspond with claimant and witnesses regarding claim</li>\n<li>Consult police and hospital records, and inspect property damage to determine extent of company&#39;s liability and varying methods of investigation according to type of insurance</li>\n<li>Estimate cost of repair, replacement, or compensation</li>\n<li>Prepare report of findings and negotiate settlement with claimant</li>\n<li>Recommend litigation by legal department when settlement cannot be negotiated</li>\n<li>Attend litigation hearings</li>\n<li>Revise case reserves in assigned claims files to cover probable costs</li>\n<li>Assist in preparing loss experience report to help determine profitability and calculate adequate future rates</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned</li>\n<li>Support the organization&#39;s quality program(s)</li>\n<li>Travel as required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#39;s degree from an accredited college or university preferred</li>\n<li>Must have earned the IIA-AIC designation and be actively pursuing another professional insurance designation</li>\n<li>Appropriate state adjuster license is required</li>\n<li>Five (5) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Skills &amp;
