Job Summary: The NOC Technician will be responsible for performing and training teams on various duties, including incident ticket management, network event monitoring, fault isolation, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, update, and manage incident tickets using ServiceNow ITSM+S / JIRA
• Monitor network events and failures 24/7/365 using various tools
• Notify relevant contacts about network incidents and provide timely situational awareness to leadership and impacted communities
• Support fault isolation and troubleshooting, including testing and diagnosing issues with network elements
• Restore networks and services to full operation, ensuring compliance with SLAs
• Assist in training and monitoring Network controllers and evaluate training programs, SOPs, and tools

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of prior relevant experience
• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent)
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN/WAN maintenance, performance management
• Advanced knowledge in at least four of the following: routers, switches, crypto devices, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, Promina, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, Optical Switching

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a tech control facility or cyber transport operations
• Familiarity with circuit actions and vendor management
• IP/Transport architecture experience
• SolarWinds and JIRA experience
• Experience in a Telco NOC or with inside or outside plant operations

Salary: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour
