It&#39;s what our 33,000 colleagues do every day for people around the world who are facing the unexpected.</p>\n<p>As a Domestic Loss Adjuster, you&#39;ll manage a caseload of domestic property damage claims across Scotland, from visiting customers at their homes, co-ordinating visits from contractors, to finally settling each claim.</p>\n<p>Imagine yourself stepping into people&#39;s lives during some of their most unsettling moments: a burst pipe that flooded the kitchen, a fire that scorched the living room, trees fallen through the roof from storm damage. You&#39;ll be there, the calming presence amidst the chaos, then returning to your desk at Sedgwick surrounded by your colleagues, or to your laptop at home, to compile a comprehensive report.</p>\n<p>Along with visits to claimants&#39; properties, we are happy for your base to be a balance of our office and your home.</p>\n<p>This is perfect for detail-oriented problem-solvers, with a passion for helping people, who crave variety and want to build a rewarding career.</p>\n<p><strong>The skills you will have when you apply:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>A full UK Driving Licence: It is essential you can travel by car</li>\n<li>Insurance knowledge: Have an understanding of how a home insurance policy operates and the basic make up of a domestic property.</li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills: You&#39;ll speak with and write to policyholders, insurers, contractors, and more. You&#39;ll explain complex details clearly and negotiate fair settlements for all.</li>\n<li>Problem-solving abilities: You should be able to identify and solve problems efficiently</li>\n<li>Time management: As you&#39;ll be planning your own week you must effectively manage your time, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
