As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

We're hiring a Frontend Engineer to help evolve the shared components and patterns behind those experiences, making it easier for teams across Mercury to turn good ideas into well-crafted software.

You'll work closely with designers and engineers to understand product needs, explore solutions, and carry improvements into the hands of the teams using them.

This role is open to early-career and intermediate engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build shared components and patterns that make Mercury's interfaces better.
• Partner with designers and product engineers to connect design intent with working software.
• Improve the quality of the experiences built with our components.

• Use AI tools to explore approaches and move ideas into working code.

Requirements

• A foundation in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, with experience building interfaces and the ability to explain the decisions behind your code.
• Care for visual craft and how people use software, including an interest in accessible interfaces and the details that make interactions feel right.
• Hands-on fluency with AI coding tools.
• Ownership and a willingness to learn.
• Curiosity about reusable systems and the tradeoffs involved in serving different product needs with shared components.
