Senior Fullstack Engineer (Elixir)

Tellent is a talent management suite: an ATS, an HRIS, and Performance Management, with AI capabilities woven through all of them. Our customers increasingly use more than one product, and expect them to work as one. The Platform team is where those products meet: shared foundations, cross-module sync, the pieces that make three apps feel like one suite.

You'd join Platform and work closely with our Product Enablement team on, including a growing set of AI-driven capabilities. This is a genuinely cross-stack seat. The backend core is Elixir, but the problems don't stay in one codebase: one week it's a Phoenix service, the next it's a React screen in one product and an Angular one in another.

We're looking for someone who follows the problem wherever it lives, doesn't need a fully specified ticket, and enjoys working in more than one codebase without waiting for a pattern to exist first.

Your 12-Month Journey:

First 3 months: learn how our products talk to each other, ship your first cross-product improvement in, get comfortable in at least two of our codebases.

Within 6 months: own an enablement or platform area end to end, from an ambiguous ask through design, build, and measured outcome. Be the person others ask about it.

After 1 year: shape how cross-product capabilities get built at Tellent, and be one of the engineers who raises the bar for working across the suite.

Responsibilities:

Building the shared foundations and integrations that connect our products, on an Elixir/Phoenix core.

Working across the frontend stacks of the products you touch: React in some, Angular in others, whatever the problem needs on top of the backend work. Think 60/40 backend/frontend, not 100/0.

Turning fuzzy enablement and AI ideas into buildable slices: you get problems, not tickets, and help decide what to build before deciding how.

Shipping to mature products with thousands of organisations on them, then checking whether it actually moved anything.

Working in existing codebases with existing conventions. Platform work means adapting to how each product does things rather than introducing new patterns.

Collaboration: daily with the Platform team and Product Enablement (PM, design), plus the engineers of the product teams you integrate with.

Requirements:

Strong backend experience, with Elixir (Phoenix; PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, Oban) as a real head start. People join us from other stacks and learn Elixir on the job, so strong fundamentals plus proof you pick up languages fast also works.

Real frontend experience in production: React or Angular, ideally exposure to both. This is not a bonus here, it's part of the job.

Range over depth in any one stack: you've worked across several codebases and technologies and are comfortable being the newcomer in one while being the expert in another.

Senior-level judgment: when to refactor, when to ship, when good enough is good enough. Especially: when to follow a product's existing conventions rather than bring your own.

Product thinking: you ask why before building, push back on requirements that don't serve the user, prototype cheaply, and are fine being wrong quickly.

Communication: you can explain trade-offs to product people and hold your own in technical discussions across teams that don't share a stack. Fluent English.

Comfortable with synchronous collaboration: we balance sync and async work. Expect regular pairing and real-time problem solving alongside independent work.

Benefits:

Hybrid or remote working setup across the Netherlands, France and Poland.

A diverse, multicultural and remote-friendly environment.

€1,500 annual training budget + 2 dedicated learning days.

Pension plan, travel reimbursement and wellness perks.

28 paid holiday days + 2 additional days to relax.

Work from anywhere for 4 weeks per year.

Apple MacBook and top-tier tooling.

€200 home office budget.

Senior Backend Product Engineer (Elixir)

Our Intelligence team builds the AI capabilities that run across the whole Tellent suite. We're looking for a backend-heavy product engineer who can take a fuzzy "AI should help here" idea and turn it into an interface people actually trust and use.

You'll own problems end to end: shaping, building, shipping, and checking whether it moved anything. Your 12-Month Journey:

First 3 months: You'll get to know the team, our product, and our architecture while contributing to your first meaningful improvements.

Within 6 months: You'll take ownership of features and contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and improvements to the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the platform.

After 1 year: You'll be a trusted technical partner within the team, taking ownership of significant parts of the product and contributing to technical decisions and architectural discussions.

Responsibilities:

Building AI-powered features into mature products with real users.

Working across the stack when the problem demands it.

Take ownership of the features you deliver, ensuring they are well-tested, maintainable, and meet our quality standards.

Collaborate closely with Backend and Frontend Engineers, Design, QA, and DevOps to solve complex problems and deliver valuable product improvements.

Requirements:

Commercial experience with Elixir, or strong backend development experience in technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Python, Java, or PHP combined with a strong motivation to learn Elixir.

Experience with Typescript and Mastra or strong willingness to learn it.

Senior-level judgment: you have shipped enough to know when good enough is good enough.

Product thinking: you push back on specs, evaluate trade-offs, prototype cheaply, kill your own ideas when data says so.

Interest in building with AI: hands-on LLM/feature experience is a plus, curiosity and shipped experiments count too.

Communication: fluent English, Polish is a plus.

Benefits:

Hybrid or remote working setup across Amsterdam, the Cologne area, or Poland.

A chance to shape one of the most ambitious scale-ups in Europe and lead a company-defining tech transition.

Work in a diverse, multicultural, and remote-friendly team.

€1,500 annual training budget + 2 dedicated learning days.

Principal Product Security Engineer

We're looking for a Principal Product Security Engineer to shape how we design, build, and ship secure software at Tellent. This is a new, hands-on role sitting directly within Engineering.

At least 30% of your time will be spent actively looking for vulnerabilities in our own products. The rest will focus on making sure the next vulnerability doesn't get written in the first place - through threat modelling, secure-by-default patterns, and close collaboration with our engineering teams.

Your goal won't simply be to find and fix individual vulnerabilities. You'll help us understand their root causes and eliminate whole classes of security issues across our products.

Responsibilities

Perform deep manual security reviews and offensive testing across our services, APIs and clients, with particular attention to authorization, multi-tenancy, business logic and other high-risk areas.

Threat model our highest-risk product surfaces, including new AI functionality, and help teams develop the skills to eventually run this practice themselves.

Own the technical strategy for our application security tooling, currently Aikido, focusing on actionable signal, developer experience and low false-positive rates.

Triage vulnerabilities from internal tooling, penetration tests and external researchers, make severity calls you can defend, and partner with teams to verify that fixes work.

Identify patterns and root causes across findings and build systemic fixes, secure-by-default libraries and paved paths that prevent vulnerabilities from recurring.

Develop secure development standards that engineers can use in their day-to-day work.

Partner with our Security team on our bug bounty programme, pentest remediation, security champions network and training based on real findings.

Act as a senior technical partner for product security incidents and when security or privacy commitments require engineering controls.

Shape and own our product security roadmap, working across Backend, Frontend, QA, DevOps, Product and Security.

Requirements

Deep hands-on application or product security experience, ideally built across both engineering and security roles.

Strong examples of vulnerabilities you've personally identified and can walk us through, from forming the hypothesis and proving the impact to getting the issue fixed.

Strong understanding of areas such as access control and multi-tenancy, authentication and authorization, session management, injection vulnerabilities, SSRF, deserialization, business logic abuse and supply-chain risk.

Hands-on engineering skills. You're comfortable reading and writing production code and reasoning about unfamiliar systems and technologies.

Experience threat modelling real systems and translating findings into practical engineering work.

Working knowledge of cloud security, containers, CI/CD and infrastructure as code.

A technology-agnostic mindset. You're comfortable moving between different languages, stacks and environments depending on the problem you're solving.

Excellent communication skills. You can explain a subtle vulnerability to the engineer who wrote the code and discuss the resulting trade-offs with senior stakeholders.

A collaborative, low-ego approach. You see product security as an enabling function and build relationships that make teams want to involve you early.

What We Offer

Hybrid or remote working setup across the Netherlands, Germany and Poland.

The opportunity to establish and shape product security within our Engineering organisation from the ground up.

Significant autonomy and direct collaboration with our VP of Engineering and engineering leadership.

A diverse, multicultural and remote-friendly environment.

€1,500 annual training budget + 2 dedicated learning days.

Dedicated tooling budget and opportunities to stay connected to the wider security community through conferences and research.

Pension plan, travel reimbursement and wellness perks.

28 paid holiday days + 2 additional days to relax.

Work from anywhere for 4 weeks per year.

Apple MacBook and top-tier tooling.
