In this role, you will work with our medical providers to develop personalized nutrition plans tailored to each patient's medical needs. You will also provide ongoing education and support to patients and their families, monitor progress, and adjust plans as needed to ensure long-term success.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of patients' lifestyle, nutritional habits, and health needs
• Collaborating with patients to set realistic, personalized nutrition goals
• Providing clear, evidence-based education to help patients understand how nutrition impacts their health
• Monitoring patient progress, making timely adjustments to nutrition plans, and documenting outcomes
• Coordinating care and communicating effectively with healthcare team members
• Educating patients and their families on the importance of proper nutrition for disease prevention and overall health
• Assisting patients in establishing personalized goals related to sleep, stress management, and other key lifestyle behaviors
• Assisting with body composition and metabolism testing as needed, and providing personalized recommendations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition, or a related field
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification and/or current Utah state licensure
• Successful completion of an accredited program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
• Current certification as a Certified Dietitian in the State of Utah
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple patients, nutrition plans, schedules, and priorities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Compassionate, empathetic, and attentive to individual patient needs and concerns

Hours:

• Full-time position
• Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

Spanish speaking skills are useful, but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient and provider support by greeting them in person and by phone, answering questions, and referring clinical inquiries to the pharmacist.
• Manage inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock levels, anticipating needed medications/supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt of shipments, and removing outdated drugs.
• Prepare prescriptions by organizing medications for the pharmacist to dispense, reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing accurate labels, calculating quantities, and preparing other pharmaceutical therapies.
• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy environment by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Protect patients and employees by strictly adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Maintain meticulous records by recording and filing physician orders and prescriptions.
• Generate revenue by accurately calculating, recording, and issuing charges.
• Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and various departments as needed.
• Provide administrative support by preparing reports, collecting and summarizing relevant information, and contributing to team efforts.
• Perform immunization administration for patients (preferred skill).

Qualifications:

• Current, valid license to practice as a Pharmacy Technician in Utah.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding pharmacy practice.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting or high-volume customer service position.
• Excellent customer service skills; previous experience in retail customer service is highly preferred.
• Excellent computer skills and ability to learn pharmacy-specific software quickly.
• Spanish speaking preferred.

Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30-6:30, Saturday 9-1
