The starting pay range for this position per hour is $24.75 - $26.75, with a full pay range of $24.75 - $42.05 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a security culture, including crisis response and crowd management planning
• Implement daily/weekly Assets Protection workload priorities to support business priorities and deliver on goals
• Respond to external and internal theft incidents and prevent future theft
• Partner with store business leaders on operational shortage priorities
• Lead a team of hourly team members, including leveraging skills in interviewing, developing, evaluating, and retaining talent
• Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring, and Friendly guest experience
• Ensure every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers on Target's guest experience commitments and consistent operations
• Actively observe and provide feedback, holding team members accountable while recognising great guest experience moments
• Review area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action to improve, and align team on the right behaviours and execution
• Support total store sales and increase profitability by ensuring products are in stock and available to guests
• Influence and validate physical security and safety processes; participate in store response and emergency crisis situations; create security plans for in-store events
• Develop, coach, and lead team members to elevate their skills and expertise
• Anticipate staffing needs and support talent planning around a culture of accountability
• Identify theft and shortage trends in the store
• Identify shortage risks in key areas and develop tactics to reduce shortage and drive profitable sales
• Work a schedule that aligns to guest and business needs based on security and theft patterns
• Develop team schedules and adjust based on security and theft trends
• Own the prevention, identification, and resolution of external theft incidents
• Initiate, investigate, and resolve internal investigations as directed
• Educate store leadership on merchandise protection best practices and audit execution
• Implement and follow up on operational changes as directed
• Support store teams on operational shortage priorities
• Order merchandise protection devices as needed to support minimum standards
• Communicate AP priorities to the team, peers, and leadership
• Build a relationship of trust and accountability with the leader and Store Director
• Maintain relationships inside and outside Target, including district and store leaders and law enforcement
• Ensure teams and tactics maintain Target's reputation
• Collaborate with retail organisation partners to analyse industry trends and enhance security
• Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team
• Support team onboarding and learning, and close knowledge and skill gaps through training and experience
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct and compliance
• Hold team members accountable to expectations set by the direct leader
• Maintain all required training
• Serve as first responder for in-store safety incidents
• Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices
• Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches
• Lead and demonstrate a safety culture through modelling and recognising safe behaviours
• Execute safety program management routines
• Participate in legal proceedings as necessary to represent Target's interests

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school degree or equivalent
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position
• Previous retail and/or loss prevention experience preferred
• Ability to lead and hold others accountable
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Manage workload and prioritise tasks independently
