Responsibilities:

• Verify patient information by interviewing patients and recording medical history
• Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests
• Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records
• Help with office procedures, injections, and other tasks as requested
• Triage phone messages from patients and respond as directed
• Communicate test and lab results to patients
• Schedule referrals and follow-ups as needed
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment

Qualifications:

• Completion of and certification from an accredited Medical Assistant Program
• CPR certification (or completed within 4 months of hiring)
• Working knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to bend, reach, lift, pull, push, and/or carry up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Excellent computer, telephone, and communication skills
• Outstanding customer service, organization, and attention to detail

Hours:

• 4 hours a week, Tuesdays 12:45pm - 5:00pm, with additional hours as needed on a PRN basis
