f1fa1245-f11 Machinist, Maintenance We are seeking a Machinist, Maintenance to join our team at GDIT. As a machinist, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing equipment. The successful candidate will have 1+ year of machining experience and be able to interpret technical manuals, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, and perform basic layout functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain vertical and/or horizontal 5-axis CNC mills
  • Interpret technical manuals, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, and perform basic layout functions
  • Possess own basic hand tools
  • Work in a collaborative and team environment to meet organisational goals

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of machining experience
  • Ability to obtain Secret security clearance
  • US citizenship required

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Vocational, Technical, Community Colleges or Apprentice programs
  • Machine technology educational program
  • Shipbuilding/Marine Advanced Manufacturing Institute (SAMI) program completion
