The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Leading the Air M&C team and providing professional leadership of the Communications function across Air Command
• Representing Air M&C in senior relationships within RAF and externally with suppliers, MOD, Government Communications Service and professional bodies
• Directing and delivering the RAF Communications Strategy and tracking the impact of our outputs against objectives
• Providing communications advice to the Air and Space Executive Committee
• Overseeing a complex operating model including internal and external communications, high profile content production, and RAF ceremonial activities
• Managing a budget of c£4m and providing financial and resourcing modelling and forecasting

The ideal candidate will have:

• Extensive experience of developing and delivering impactful communications strategies within complex organisations
• Proven ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders and build trusted relationships
• Demonstrable experience of leading and developing high-performing multidisciplinary teams
• Strong strategic thinking and communications judgement, with the ability to align communications activity to organisational priorities
• Resilience and adaptability, with experience of leading teams through change and uncertainty
