As a Lead Structural Engineer - Bridges, you will be part of a growing organization that meets clients&#39; objectives and solves their challenges.</p>\n<p><strong>Your Impact</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform professional structural engineering analysis and design of transportation structures, such as bridges and retaining walls.</li>\n<li>Apply high-level structural techniques for various phases of projects, including concept development, preliminary design, final design, procurement, and construction.</li>\n<li>Work as part of a team to design and check bridge superstructure and substructures.</li>\n<li>Develop preliminary and final plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates.</li>\n<li>Coordinate with other disciplines, subconsultants, and clients.</li>\n<li>Utilize OpenBridge Software.</li>\n<li>Coordinate, review, and provide design plans, ensuring data integrity and compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations.</li>\n<li>Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations.</li>\n<li>Maintain quality control standards and procedures.</li>\n<li>Assist with development and scoping of small- to medium-sized projects.</li>\n<li>Provide guidance and training to entry-level engineers.</li>\n<li>Interact with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients in a confident and professional manner.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with other engineers, professionals, and infrastructure authorities.</li>\n<li>Remain current with the latest structural engineering techniques and practices.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Who You Are</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#39;s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.</li>\n<li>7+ years of relevant post-education experience in engineering discipline and prior structural or civil design experience.</li>\n<li>Registered Professional Engineer, preferably in NH, VT, or Maine, or ability to obtain PE.</li>\n<li>Proficient knowledge of structural engineering principles, practices, processes, design/build, and application to project work-related issues.</li>\n<li>Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated high-level of self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities.</li>\n<li>Works independently with minimal oversight and provides guidance and leadership to junior team or project members.</li>\n<li>Highly proficient with technical writing, office automation, discipline-specific design software, technology, math principles, spreadsheets, and tools.</li>\n<li>Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills.</li>\n<li>Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP&#39;s health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master&#39;s Degree in Engineering.</li>\n<li>NHDOT, MaineDOT, and/or VTrans Bridge design experience and familiarity with the latest respective manuals and standards.</li>\n<li>A member of and/or actively participating in local professional practice organizations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-top:24px;font-size:13px;color:#666;\">XML job scraping automation by <a href=\"https://yubhub.co\">YubHub</a></p>","url":"https://yubhub.co/jobs/job_d0833463-be5/","directApply":true,"hiringOrganization":{"@type":"Organization","name":"WSP"},"x-apply-url":"https://emit.fa.ca3.oraclecloud.com/hcmUI/CandidateExperience/en/sites/CX_2001/job/95206?utm_source=yubhub.co&utm_medium=jobs_feed&utm_campaign=apply","x-work-arrangement":null,"x-experience-level":"senior","x-job-type":"full-time","x-salary-range":null,"x-skills-required":["Structural Engineering","Civil Engineering","OpenBridge Software","MicroStation","MDX","STADD"],"x-skills-preferred":["Master's Degree in Engineering","NHDOT","MaineDOT","VTrans Bridge design experience"],"datePosted":"2026-10-26T18:27:28.849Z","jobLocation":{"@type":"Place","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressLocality":"Merrimack, NH"}},"employmentType":"FULL_TIME","occupationalCategory":"Engineering","industry":"Consulting","skills":"Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, OpenBridge Software, MicroStation, MDX, STADD, Master's Degree in Engineering, NHDOT, MaineDOT, VTrans Bridge design experience"}]}
