Join us in building the future of finance.

Our mission is to democratize finance for all. An estimated $124 trillion of assets will be inherited by younger generations in the next two decades. The largest transfer of wealth in human history. If you’re ready to be at the epicenter of this historic cultural and financial shift, keep reading.

Technical Program Manager, Brokerage

About the team + role

We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. We’re looking for bold thinkers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn’t a place for complacency, it’s where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We’re a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.

Brokerage sits at the heart of Robinhood, powering how millions of customers invest and interact with financial products. The Brokerage Technical Program Management team is small and collaborative, and it works side by side with senior engineers, engineering managers, product leaders, and Brokerage leadership on complex technical and execution challenges. We partner closely with design, customer experience, and operations teams to bring ambitious work to life. The team is still shaping how it plans, executes, launches, and uses AI, so there’s real room to build the playbook rather than inherit one!

As a Technical Program Manager on Brokerage, you’ll own and drive cross-functional engineering programs from kickoff through launch. You’ll keep plans, milestones, risks, and dependencies clear and visible, and you’ll turn complex technical work into crisp updates for leadership and partner teams. The mix of programs will flex with company priorities, and you’ll be trusted with real ownership early on. You’ll also have the chance to rethink traditional TPM workflows with AI, from planning to launch readiness.

What you’ll do

Drive execution across multiple cross-functional engineering teams, from kickoff through launch

Own program plans, milestones, risks, and dependencies, and keep them visible to stakeholders

Coordinate with product, design, customer experience, operations, and engineering partners

Write clear narratives, status updates, and communications for leadership and partner teams

Spot gaps and unblock work so programs keep moving with minimal oversight

Help shape how the Brokerage TPM team plans, executes, and launches, including how it uses AI to improve planning, dependency management, risk detection, launch readiness, and reporting

What you bring

5+ years of experience in technical program management or a similar role, driving complex cross-functional engineering programs

Strong grasp of system design, with the ability to follow and contribute to engineering conversations (no coding required)

Working familiarity with AWS and core infrastructure concepts

Exceptional written and verbal communication, including concise narratives and executive-ready updates that translate complex technical work

Strong ownership of outcomes, with the initiative to identify next steps, close gaps, and resolve blockers without waiting to be asked

A proven record of running programs with minimal oversight and following through on commitments until problems are resolved

Comfort stepping outside a narrowly defined scope when the program needs it

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to create structure and clarity across complex, multi-team programs without adding unnecessary process

Curiosity and excitement about using AI as part of how you work

What we offer

Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career

Performance driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching

Access to the Robinhood Employee Fund that gives eligible US employees the opportunity to invest in a private employee fund that provides exposure to Robinhood Ventures funds.

Access to the best AI tools on the market and continuous AI skill-building for every employee, technical or not.

Lifestyle wallet - a highly flexible benefits spending account for wellness, learning, and more

Employer-paid life & disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits

Time off to recharge including company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more!

Senior Product Manager, Advisor Marketplace

Join us in building the future of finance.

Our mission is to democratize finance for all. An estimated $124 trillion of assets will be inherited by younger generations in the next two decades. The largest transfer of wealth in human history. If you’re ready to be at the epicenter of this historic cultural and financial shift, keep reading.

About the team + role

We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. We’re looking for bold thinkers, sharp problem-solvers, and builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn’t a place for complacency – it’s where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We’re a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.

The Advisory Products team is redefining the advisor experience by bringing the best of Robinhood’s technology, design, and infrastructure to Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and the clients they serve. Following our TradePMR acquisition, we’re building a modern advisor platform – custody, tools, and a two-sided marketplace that connects Robinhood’s investors with trusted, growth-oriented advisors.

As the Product Manager for the Advisor Marketplace, you will own the product that helps investors find, meet, and fund accounts with the right advisor – and helps advisors win and onboard those clients efficiently. You’ll own the full marketplace funnel, from demand generation and matching through first meeting, onboarding, and funded account, and you’ll use data and experimentation to make every step work better for both sides.

This is an opportunity to take a new, high-visibility business from early traction to scale, in close partnership with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Marketing, Operations, and Compliance.

This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.

What you’ll do

Own the product strategy and roadmap for the Advisor Marketplace, balancing the needs of both sides – investors looking for advice and advisors looking to grow their practices.

Own the end-to-end marketplace funnel – discovery, matching and routing, scheduling, first-meeting show rate, advisor onboarding, and funded accounts – and drive measurable improvements at each stage.

Define and manage marketplace health: supply and demand balance, advisor quality and standards, lead allocation, and conversion, with clear metrics such as meetings booked and completed, accounts funded, assets under management, and net flows.

Partner with Engineering, Design, and Data Science to ship products from concept to production, using research, experimentation, and analytics to guide prioritization and measure success.

Work with Compliance, Legal, and Risk to embed regulatory and operational requirements directly into product design, advisor vetting, disclosures, and workflows.

Integrate the marketplace with the broader RIA platform, including TradePMR and Robinhood’s app, so that advisor and client data, accounts, and custody flows connect seamlessly.

Drive go-to-market execution with Marketing, Sales, and Operations across launches, advisor acquisition and onboarding, support readiness, and cross-functional communication.

Explore how AI can improve the client experience when working with an advisor.

Stay ahead of trends in wealth management, advisor technology, and marketplaces to inform long-term strategy.

What you bring

4+ years of product management experience, including building and launching marketplace, platform, or complex multi-sided products, ideally in fintech, brokerage, or wealth management.

Demonstrated success owning a funnel or growth-oriented product end-to-end, with a track record of improving conversion and engagement through experimentation and analytics.

Experience delivering products in a regulated or compliance-heavy environment, balancing innovation with operational and regulatory rigor.

Strong analytical skills: you define success metrics, write your own queries or dashboards, and use data to drive prioritization and continuous improvement.

Strong technical acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and operations teams on system design, integrations, and scalability.

Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to align diverse stakeholders – including executives, advisors, and partner teams – around a shared roadmap.

An ownership mindset and a scrappy, self-starter attitude: comfortable with ambiguity, able to define what “great” looks like as you go.

Passion for empowering financial advisors and their clients, and for transforming the wealth management industry through modern technology.

Bonus points

Experience building two-sided marketplaces, lead-generation or referral products, or CRM and scheduling workflows.

Experience shipping AI-enabled features in B2B or consumer products.

What we offer

Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career

Performance-driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching

Best-in-class benefits, including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents

We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world's biggest financial problems. We're looking for bold thinkers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn't a place for complacency, it's where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We're a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.

Robinhood’s Crypto team owns how customers experience crypto at Robinhood, from buying their first coin to trading actively and going onchain with products that bring centralized and decentralized finance together. As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll own design strategy and execution across retail crypto trading as well as support our onchain experiences. You’ll balance ambitious 0-to-1 bets that define new categories with the iterative, detail-driven work that makes our existing products faster, clearer, and more reliable. You’ll partner closely with engineering, product, compliance, and legal, and help shape the long-term vision for retail crypto at Robinhood. Design at Robinhood is AI-first. This role is for someone who already uses AI as a core part of how they think, explore, and execute.

This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA and New York, NY office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community.

Lead and execute the product design strategy for our retail crypto experiences, balancing new bets with iterative improvements to our core surfaces.

Collaborate directly with engineering, product, design leadership, and legal and compliance partners from initial concept to final launch.

Bring clarity to complexity by turning complex concepts into highly usable and intuitive experiences that work for first-time users and crypto natives alike.

Use AI to explore problem spaces, surface edge cases, and prototype quickly, while you guide intent, structure, and quality.

Uphold the craft bar, and help set the standard for design quality across the crypto team.

What you bring

Strong product design experience working on complex, consumer-facing products with end-to-end ownership

Active use of AI in your design workflow

Solid systems thinking, balancing detail with the big picture

Experience partnering with engineering, product, research, legal, and compliance in a highly regulated environment

A strong bias for action: able to find the next step and move forward through ambiguity.

Crypto curiosity, deep expertise isn't required, but fluency and eagerness to learn is required

What we offer

Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career

Performance driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching

Best in class benefits to fuel your work, including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents

Lifestyle wallet - a highly flexible benefits spending account for wellness, learning, and more

Employer-paid life & disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits

Time off to recharge including company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more!

Director of Engineering, Brokerage Platform

Join us in building the future of finance.

Our mission is to democratize finance for all. An estimated $124 trillion of assets will be inherited by younger generations in the next two decades. The largest transfer of wealth in human history. If you’re ready to be at the epicenter of this historic cultural and financial shift, keep reading.

About the team + role

We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world's biggest financial problems. We're looking for bold thinkers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn't a place for complacency, it's where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We're a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.

The Brokerage Platform org is the backbone of everything Robinhood trades, clears, and settles. It is the underlying infrastructure that powers every equities trade, every options contract, every event contract, and every crypto transaction that moves through our platform , and it is the foundation on which Robinhood's most important business lines are built. The org spans four deeply interconnected teams: Market Data & Symbology (the real-time and reference data layer that the entire product experience depends on), Trading Platform (core order routing, execution management, and bulk order systems), Clearing (settlement, margin, security lending, cash sweep, and the full back-office operations stack), and Brokerage Infrastructure (the platform layer that enables every product team to move faster through abstractions, reliability investments, and next-generation stack modernization).

This org operates 24 hours a day around critical market functions , from market open to trade settlement , and when things go wrong, it matters. As the Director of Engineering, Brokerage Platform, you will lead one of Robinhood's largest and most consequential engineering organizations. You will own the technical strategy, people leadership, and delivery execution for a broad, high-stakes platform , partnering closely with a dedicated TPM and engaging deeply with trading, crypto, and active trader product teams who depend on your org every day.

What you’ll do

Own the full engineering strategy and delivery for Brokerage Platform , spanning Market Data & Symbology, Trading Platform, Clearing, and Brokerage Infrastructure , setting the technical direction and ensuring the org executes with reliability and conviction

Lead and develop a large, distributed engineering organization of senior and staff-level engineers and engineering managers , building the talent, culture, and bench strength the org needs to sustain high performance over time

Drive platform investments that have direct business impact , identifying the modernization, reliability, and scalability bets worth making, building the conviction behind them, and seeing them through to measurable outcomes

Partner tightly with your TPM counterpart to manage a high volume of incoming asks from trading, crypto, active trader, and event contracts product teams , prioritizing ruthlessly and protecting engineering capacity for the work that matters most

Own the reliability and operational health of systems that run continuously around market-critical functions , ensuring the org is prepared for high-severity incidents and has the processes and tooling to resolve them fast

Engage deeply with cross-functional leadership across Robinhood , representing Brokerage Platform's roadmap, dependencies, and capabilities to product, ops, and executive stakeholders

Champion platform modernization and technical debt reduction , driving initiatives like stack rewrites, sharding, multi-region scaling, and infrastructure abstractions that unlock velocity across the entire engineering org

What you bring

15+ years of software engineering experience, with 6+ years in engineering leadership roles , including demonstrated experience as a Director or Senior Director managing large, multi-team engineering organizations

Deep platform engineering background , you've owned and driven the technical direction of foundational backend platforms at scale, not just product features built on top of them

Experience at the intersection of financial services, trading, brokerage, or adjacent high-criticality domains is a strong plus , you don't need to know all four of our sub-domains, but depth in one or two (market data, clearing, order execution, or brokerage infrastructure) is a meaningful signal

A track record of driving platform modernization bets that delivered real business outcomes , you've made the case for a large technical investment, executed it, and pointed to the result

Comfort operating in a high-severity, always-on engineering environment , you've led teams through major incidents and built the systems and culture to minimize their recurrence

Strong background with distributed systems, backend services at scale, Go or Python, and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)

Background from high-performance engineering organizations in fintech, trading, crypto, or large-scale consumer platforms , companies similar to Robinhood, Coinbase, SoFi, Google, or similar environments where the platform was the business is a strong plus!

Leadership expectations

Our ambitious roadmap requires a great culture shaped by exceptional leaders. Here’s what we expect from them:

Drive high performance by setting clear, focused goals, giving real-time feedback, stretching top talent, and scaling impact through focus, innovation, and tech.

Hire and retain top talent by setting a high bar, hiring only those who raise it, investing in onboarding, and addressing talent issues quickly and fairly.

Create community by connecting work to purpose, removing friction while prioritizing safety, building trust and inclusion, and leading from the front with integrity.

What we offer

Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career.

Performance driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching.

Top Tier benefits to fuel your work, including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents.

Senior Product Manager, Gold Growth

Join us in building the future of finance.

Our mission is to democratize finance for all. An estimated $124 trillion of assets will be inherited by younger generations in the next two decades. The largest transfer of wealth in human history. If you’re ready to be at the epicenter of this historic cultural and financial shift, keep reading.

About the team + role

Robinhood Gold is our premium membership and one of the most important businesses at Robinhood. For one monthly fee, Gold members unlock a bundle of benefits, including boosted APY on uninvested cash, an IRA match, lower margin rates, professional research, access to the Robinhood Gold Card, and more. The Gold Growth team is responsible for growing that membership: how customers discover Gold, why they start a trial, what convinces them to become paying members, and what keeps them subscribed.

Because Gold touches nearly every product at Robinhood, we reach customers across the entire app, and our work directly drives subscription revenue and how much of their financial lives customers choose to bring to Robinhood.

As Senior Product Manager, Gold Growth, you will own key levers of the Gold growth funnel and be accountable for business outcomes, not just feature metrics. You will decide where to invest across acquisition, trial-to-paid conversion, engagement, and retention, make clear trade-offs between growth, member value, and unit economics, and partner closely with data science to run high-velocity experiments, and read results with rigor.

You will work hand in hand with design to craft simple, compelling consumer experiences, and you will operate with a high degree of autonomy: taking ambiguous problems, forming a point of view, and driving them to launch with little day-to-day guidance.

This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.

What you'll do

Own the strategy and roadmap for Gold growth across the full member lifecycle, from discovery and trial to paid conversion, activation of benefits, and long-term retention.

Drive business impact end to end, including new member growth, trial-to-paid conversion, churn reduction, and member lifetime value. Tie every product bet to the outcomes that matter for the business, not just the next metric on a dashboard.

Build and run a high-velocity experimentation program with data science: generate hypotheses, size opportunities, design A/B tests, and turn results into decisions you scale or kill quickly.

Make hard trade-off decisions across growth, member experience, and economics (for example, offers and pricing versus long-term profitability), back them with clear reasoning and data, and bring stakeholders along with you.

Work hand in hand with design and engineering to build intuitive, persuasive consumer experiences, sweating the details of the entry points, paywalls, onboarding flows, copy, and UI that shape how millions of customers experience Gold.

Operate as the owner of your area: find the highest-leverage growth opportunities, write the plan, rally partners across engineering, design, marketing, finance, legal, and compliance, and ship with minimal oversight.

What you bring

You have 4+ years of product management experience, including at least 2 years building consumer-facing products where you owned the end-to-end UI/UX alongside design partners.

You have a track record of driving measurable business outcomes in a growth context (acquisition, paid conversion, retention, revenue, or unit economics) and can clearly explain how your product decisions moved them.

You have strong product judgment and are comfortable making trade-offs under ambiguity. You form opinionated recommendations, defend them with data, and change course when the evidence says so.

You are analytically fluent and have partnered closely with data scientists on experimentation, funnel analysis, opportunity sizing, and impact measurement. Comfort digging into the data yourself is a plus.

You hold a high bar for consumer craft. You care about the details of a great experience and can articulate why one design converts better than another.

You are a self-starter who executes independently, creates clarity for others, and needs little guidance to take a problem from idea to shipped product.

What we offer

Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career

Performance driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching

Top Tier benefits to fuel your work, including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents

Access to the best AI tools on the market and continuous AI skill-building for every employee, technical or not

Lifestyle wallet - a highly flexible benefits spending account for wellness, learning, and more

Employer-paid life & disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits

Time off to recharge including company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more!

Exceptional office experience with catered meals, events, and comfortable workspaces.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands.

The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones.

For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

About the team & role

We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. We’re looking for bold thinkers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn’t a place for complacency, it’s where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We’re a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.

The Robinhood Command Center (RCC) is a newly formed reliability team that serves as the front line for detecting, coordinating, and mitigating production incidents across Robinhood.

As part of Robinhood’s broader reliability initiative, RCC works closely with product engineering, reliability, observability, infrastructure, and business teams to reduce customer impact and shorten incident duration.

As a Staff Senior Engineer, you will be part of the founding RCC team, helping define how Robinhood responds to and learns from incidents at scale. This is a highly visible role focused on incident leadership, operational excellence, and reliability tooling. You will not own product services or core infrastructure, but you will own the processes and tools that enable fast, high-quality incident response.

This role is based in our Menlo Park, California office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you'll do:

Serve as a technical leader driving the long-term reliability and observability strategy across Robinhood’s infrastructure

Partner closely across many different types of engineers to raise the bar for operational excellence and incident response

Lead incident mitigation efforts by coordinating service owners, facilitating time-sensitive decisions like rollbacks, traffic shifts, and maintaining a clear source of truth during active incidents

Develop and maintain incident management processes and procedures to ensure timely resolution and minimize customer impact

Own incident discovery at the company level by defining and maintaining global dashboards and alerts tied to critical user journeys (CUJs), availability, and business-impact metrics

Own and evolve incident response tooling and processes, including education, adoption, and measurement of MTTD/MTTR improvements

Drive post-incident governance and learning, defining standards for postmortems, SEV reviews, and follow-up tracking to ensure durable reliability improvements

Design and implement next-generation failure mitigation strategies that avoid full-region or full-datacenter failovers

Define and build frameworks to improve monitoring, alerting, and observability across hundreds of services and systems

Define and own the roadmap of bringing observability to critical user journeys for Robinhood’s products

Deliver key insights and executive-level reporting to enable better business decisions around service quality and reliability

Act as a force multiplier through mentoring, technical influence, and contributions to hiring and engineering culture

What you bring:

8+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience operating production systems

3+ years focused on reliability engineering, infrastructure, distributed systems, or production operations

Hands-on experience serving in incident leadership roles (e.g., IMOC, incident commander, primary oncall)

Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, especially during high-severity incidents

Deep knowledge of systems reliability, observability frameworks, and fault-tolerant architecture design

Experience with multi-region or multi-cluster architectures, capacity planning, and failover strategies

Familiarity with modern observability stacks (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana)

Demonstrated ability to drive measurable improvements in MTTD, MTTR, availability, or customer impact

What we offer:

Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career

Performance driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching

The AI Platform & Agentic Apps team builds the agent platform behind every AI agent at Robinhood , today giving a growing number of engineers and employees an AI teammate that ships code, queries data, and runs operational workflows on their behalf. We're building toward the same platform powering the agents millions of customers interact with directly, in real time. These agents don't just answer questions; they're designed to take real action across carefully curated meta harnesses. This is agentic AI at real scale, in a regulated financial environment, and it will change how Robinhood works.

As Engineering Manager, you will lead the charge in developing critical infrastructure for Agentic applications spanning Robinhood products. You will guide the engineering organization in leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to create real, scalable products that act in the world on behalf of Robinhood's customers and employees. This role calls for a visionary leader with a strong software engineering background, a passion for developing platforms, and deep expertise in applied ML at scale. You'll partner closely with Legal, Compliance, and Security to build agents that can be trusted to act in a regulated brokerage environment , driving everything from eval-gated releases to audit trails that hold up under scrutiny.

This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA office, with in-person attendance expected 5 days per week. At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.

What You'll Do

Build and lead the team behind Robinhood's agentic applications , hire and grow strong engineers, and own the roadmap and delivery bar for agents that act for millions of customers and for employees internally.

Set technical direction on agent orchestration, tool integration, evals, and permissioning for consequential actions , deep enough to change a design, not only approve it.

Make agents trustworthy enough to act in a regulated brokerage: build eval-gated releases, guardrails and approval flows for money-moving actions, and audit trails alongside Legal, Compliance, and Security.

Own production reliability for nondeterministic systems running on third-party model providers: SLOs, fallbacks, and incidents driven through to fixed root causes.

Define and move the metrics that matter , task completion, quality, latency, cost per task , and report progress to leadership in numbers.

What You Bring

10+ years managing software engineers, with a record of hiring well, growing people, and shipping products used at scale.

Hands-on depth in LLM systems , you've shipped tool-calling agents to production and can critique an architecture or eval plan yourself.

Experience running consumer-scale production services: SLOs, on-call, and dependencies you don't control.

Judgment in ambiguous, fast-moving spaces , you turn conflicting input into a focused roadmap with measurable goals, and cut scope to hit them.

Direct, clear communication with engineers, product, and executives; you write well and earn trust across functions.

Leadership Expectations

Our ambitious roadmap requires a great culture shaped by exceptional leaders. Here's what we expect from them:

Drive high performance by setting clear, focused goals, giving real-time feedback, stretching top talent, and scaling impact through focus, innovation, and tech.

Hire and retain top talent by setting a high bar, hiring only those who raise it, investing in onboarding, and addressing talent issues quickly and fairly.

Create community by connecting work to purpose, removing friction while prioritizing safety, building trust and inclusion, and leading from the front with integrity.

What We Offer

Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career

Performance driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching

Top Tier benefits to fuel your work, including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents

Exceptional office experience with catered meals, events, and comfortable workspaces.

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base Pay Range: Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC)$255,000-$300,000 USD

Senior Machine Learning Engineer, AI Platform & Agentic Apps

The AI Platform & Agentic Apps team builds the agent platform behind every AI agent at Robinhood. Today it gives a growing number of engineers and employees an AI teammate that ships code, queries data, and runs operational workflows on their behalf. We're building toward the same platform powering the agents millions of customers interact with directly, in real time. These agents don't just answer questions , they're designed to take real action across carefully curated meta harnesses. This is agentic AI at real scale, in a regulated financial environment, and it will change how Robinhood works!

As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer on the AI Platform & Agentic Apps team, you will design and build the harness that every agent at Robinhood runs on. A critical part of the role is making those agents trustworthy at scale: trajectory-level evals that measure how an agent reasons and acts, and action guardrails , permission models, approval gates, and sandboxing , built as platform primitives that other teams adopt. You'll be a technical anchor on a growing, high-caliber team, collaborating with product, infrastructure, and fellow ML engineers to take ambitious ideas from zero to one and into production. You'll help define the team's technical direction, mentor engineers, and shape how Robinhood decides an agent is ready to ship. This role offers a rare combination of technical depth, platform-scale impact, and the satisfaction of building systems that genuinely don't exist anywhere else.

This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Design and build the core of Robinhood's agent harness , orchestration, tool integrations, context and memory management , so one platform can safely power both high-trust internal agents and tightly scoped customer-facing ones.

Ship agentic applications end to end on that harness, from an ambiguous problem to a production agent that takes real action on behalf of employees or customers, and feed what you learn back into the platform.

Build trajectory-level evaluation systems that score how an agent got to an answer, not just the answer , tool-calls correctness, planning and recovery, multi-step task completion , backed by simulation environments and synthetic task generation.

Architect action guardrails as platform primitives: least-privilege tool scoping, permission models, human-approval gates for high-risk or irreversible actions, step and budget limits, sandboxing, and rollback.

Make evals and guardrails products other teams adopt , SDKs, CI regression gates on prompt, model, and tool changes, continuous red-teaming, and production tracing that closes the loop from real traffic back into eval sets and guardrail models.

Set the technical bar through architecture reviews, code reviews, and mentorship, and be the person who can make , and defend with data , the "don't ship" call.

WHAT YOU BRING

10+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or ML-focused software engineer, with strong Python and distributed-systems fundamentals and a track record of shipping LLM-powered systems to production at scale. A Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.

Hands-on experience building agentic systems end to end , tool use, orchestration, context management, multi-step planning , on top of frontier models, in production.

Deep expertise evaluating agents: you've built trajectory-level evals, tool-call scoring, and simulation environments, and you can articulate why final-answer accuracy is insufficient for systems that act.

Demonstrated expertise designing action-level guardrails , permission and tool-scoping models, approval gates, blast-radius controls, and sandboxing , for agents operating in systems where mistakes have consequences.

Rigor in evaluation methodology: golden datasets, rubric and LLM-as-judge grading and their failure modes, statistical significance with small N, offline-to-online metric correlation, and eval data versioning and contamination control.

Proven ability to build platforms, not just models: you've shipped eval, safety, or agent tooling that other engineering teams adopted, and you have the judgment to know when to build versus buy.

Our group is building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. We’re looking for bold thinkers and sharp problem-solvers who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood is where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We’re a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.

Robinhood Social is building the first place active traders check: a network where every trade is real, backed by a real track record, so conviction is built on proof instead of hype. Since launching in 2026, the team has proven the feed is worth opening. Now the focus is on the harder problem of helping traders form real relationships around symbols, real-time market moments, and creators worth following. It’s a high-leverage, fast-moving product bet with a direct line to Robinhood-wide engagement.

Our team is full-stack, spanning backend, mobile, and web engineers, and we work closely together across the stack to ship end-to-end features rather than working in silos. As an Android Engineer on the Social team, you would build and improve Android experiences that help customers engage with investing in more social, creator-driven, and content-rich ways. You would contribute to features across feed and sharing experiences, onboarding flows, and creator-facing surfaces, partnering closely with backend, web, product, design, and data counterparts to ship end-to-end experiences.

This role follows the Gen Eng Android foundation, with an emphasis on Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android architecture components, Gradle, and strong product-facing engineering fundamentals. These teams are based in our New York office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.

What you'll do

Work with a fast-growing team to revolutionize finance at speed and scale

Build smooth, stable, and elegant products with Kotlin and the newest Android APIs

Own features from inception to design, implementation, and launch

Work cross-functionally with Product Designers, Product Managers, Backend Developers, and Data team

Work with Kotlin, Android SDK & Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Coroutines & Flow (preferred) OR RxJava, and Retrofit & Room

What you bring

3+ years of professional Android development experience building consumer Android applications at scale, preferably in Kotlin and Compose

Attention to detail, passion for writing clean, readable and maintainable code

Proficiency in Kotlin or Java, and Jetpack

Desire to improve Robinhood's app and codebase to ensure outstanding quality for our all users

Strong product sense and ability to collaborate with Product Managers and Designers

Excellent communication skills and passion for solving technical challenges

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred; equivalent training or work experience also acceptable

Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise Build

Join us in building the future of finance.

Our mission is to democratize finance for all. An estimated $124 trillion of assets will be inherited by younger generations in the next two decades. The largest transfer of wealth in human history. If you’re ready to be at the epicenter of this historic cultural and financial shift, keep reading.

About the team + role

We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems.

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Enterprise Build team: the small, high-leverage team that turns the company's best AI-built prototypes into true enterprise-grade services. Robinhood has gone all-in on an AI-accelerated workforce: every week, Hoodies across Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance, and beyond use sanctioned AI tools to build working prototypes of the tools they wish they had. The best of those ideas deserve to become real software. That is this team's entire job, and yours.

The team is built on the premise that AI multiplies what a senior engineer can own: agents do the first pass of assessment, porting, and scaffolding; you review, harden, and decide. The work is a distinctive loop. A prototype earns real usage in our experimental sandbox and arrives through a single front door. You assess it, decide what survives, often the idea and the workflow, rarely the code, and rebuild it as an enterprise-grade, production-spec service that meets our full engineering standards: SSO, audit logging, secrets management, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and security review, baked in from the first commit.

While you build, you work directly with business partners, the forward-deployed pattern, pointed inward. Robinhood operates in a heavily regulated industry. Building fast here means building safely, and this team exists to help make sure those aren't in tension.

Assess vibe-coded prototypes from across the company and make the technical call: harden, rebuild, or redirect, then own the outcome end-to-end.

Design, build, and ship services on Robinhood's enterprise platforms, meeting the company's full standards for secure, reliable enterprise software.

Build AI-natively: drive agents through first-pass assessment, porting, and test scaffolding, and ship MCP servers, sub-agents, and agent skills as production artifacts where the solution calls for them.

Work directly with sponsoring business units (Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance) during each build, translating real workflows into software people actually adopt.

Deliver clean operational handoffs as part of your definition of done: runbooks, evals, and dashboards.

Establish the paved patterns with the Enterprise Platforms team: when you solve the same problem twice, make it a platform capability the third time.

Raise the bar on AI-era engineering quality, including rigorous, teaching-quality review of AI-generated code, your own and others'.

What We're Looking For

5+ years of software engineering experience building and running production backend or full-stack systems, with a track record of independently delivering high-ambiguity projects end-to-end.

Hands-on cloud depth, GCP preferred, including containerized services, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code, with a strong focus on a serverless stack.

Demonstrated AI-native development: daily fluency with agentic coding tools, experience building LLM-powered applications or agentic workflows, and the judgment to review, harden, and productionize AI-generated code.

Product sense and scoping discipline: you can find the 20% of a prototype worth keeping, say no to the rest, and finish, this team's leverage depends on engagements that end.

Exceptional communication with non-engineers: you're comfortable embedded with finance, legal, or HR partners, translating in both directions without losing precision.

Experience in highly regulated industries, particularly finance or fintech, is strongly preferred.

What we offer

Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career.

Performance-driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching.

Best-in-class benefits to fuel your work, including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents.

Lifestyle wallet , a highly flexible benefits spending account for wellness, learning, and more.

Employer-paid life & disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits.

Time off to recharge including company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more!

Exceptional office experience with catered meals, events, and comfortable workspaces.

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.
