Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the delivery of the Payments Operations business plan, strategy and annual objectives
• Implementing the Target Operating Model (TOM), including migration, standardisation, automation and potential outsourcing of activities
• Establishing and achieving goals for production quality, service quality, financial performance, operational risk and agreed service-level agreements (SLAs)
• Leading and supporting regulatory, transformation and operational change programmes
• Building strong relationships with business leaders, global and regional Operations teams, Risk, Technology, Transformation, auditors, regulators and other stakeholders
• Driving continuous improvement and customer advocacy
• Maintaining effective operational governance, including controls, policies, procedures, business continuity, information security, compliance, supplier contracts and control-monitoring plans

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of Payment Operations, including relevant products, services, systems and processes
• Understand key payment activities such as remittances, investigations, screening and charges processing
• Maintain a good understanding of Kuwait’s payment systems, operational risk and control requirements
• Apply effective problem-solving and sound judgement to resolve complex issues
• Communicate clearly, concisely and confidently with senior stakeholders and colleagues at all levels
• Prioritise workloads, work independently under pressure and contribute effectively within a team environment
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
• Hold a bachelor’s degree
