Candidates must be capable of independently following procedures and direction with minimal oversight and supervision.</p>\n<p>Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operate the TMC’s advanced traffic management system (ATMS);</li>\n<li>Monitor radios/police scanners, CCTV displays, and system map for incidents;</li>\n<li>Monitor computerized traffic signal and ramp metering activities;</li>\n<li>Dispatch traffic signals malfunctions and highway maintenance calls to appropriate personnel or jurisdictions;</li>\n<li>Perform record keeping tasks, keyboard entries, and generate daily reports;</li>\n<li>Monitor and update all variable message signs including dial-up portable signs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required;</li>\n<li>Must possess a valid Driver’s License;</li>\n<li>Must be willing to work all shifts including weekends, overnights, and holidays;</li>\n<li>Proficient with various computer/software systems - including MS Office, GIS, and web-based information systems;</li>\n<li>Must have an aptitude for providing exceptional customer service;</li>\n<li>Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures;</li>\n<li>Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies;</li>\n<li>Applicants must be able to pass a background/criminal history check.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>In-depth knowledge of local roadways;</li>\n<li>Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written;</li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail;</li>\n<li>Ability to professionally interact with co-workers and client staff;</li>\n<li>Ability to perform with minimal supervision;</li>\n<li>Ability to multi-task and remain calm during high-pressure situations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Benefits: WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
