The Emergency Officer will contribute to the development and implementation of the Humanitarian Response and Recovery (HRR), Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Shelter and Settlements (S&S), and Rapid Response programmes.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate the implementation of HRR, WASH, S&S, and Rapid Response programmes
• Contribute to resource mobilization and identify programme development opportunities
• Design and verify technical specifications for programme implementation
• Monitor budget and expenditures, and ensure compliance with internal and donor requirements
• Supervise a team and provide capacity building as required
• Coordinate with stakeholders, including government authorities, shelter agencies, and humanitarian organizations
• Support effective communication with stakeholders and prepare project reports
• Implement the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning framework for the programme

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related built environment field
• Two years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in designing and managing multiple shelter and settlement projects
• Experience in technical shelter/housing or infrastructure design
• Familiarity with IOM procedures, including Supply Chain and Human Resources
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of standards related to WASH, environment, HLP, protection
• Fluency in English and French (oral and written)
