As a Medical Assistant at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care under the direction of a clinician
• Communicate effectively with patients through various modalities

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or one year of Medical Assistant work experience
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
• Demonstrated basic computer skills
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting
• Computer literacy in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Current national MA certification

Physical Requirements:

• Ongoing need for employee to see and read information
• Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors
• Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment
• Expected to lift and utilise full range of movement to transfer patients
