• Complete hospital and laboratory new employee orientations and required paperwork
• Maintain a professional relationship with staff instructors and ask for clarification as needed
• Complete departmental training and competency assessments prior to performing patient testing
• Perform routine and STAT laboratory testing, review results, and report accurate and timely information
• Complete required quality control testing, maintain records, and take corrective action as necessary
• May perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, and calibration procedures
• May provide instruction to patients and family members
• May help maintain supply inventory

Physical Requirements:

• Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, documents, and monitors
• Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, and patients that require verbal communication and hearing
• Manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment
