Your main responsibility is supporting hygiene and safety standards, managing waste disposal, and maintaining overall cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and back-of-house areas.

Key duties:

• Wash, rinse, and sanitise all kitchen items, including pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and glassware, in line with daily operational needs
• Operate commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workspaces and storage areas
• Dispose of kitchen waste appropriately, ensuring bins are emptied and areas are kept clean and tidy throughout the shift
• Adhere to all Food Safety and Health & Safety policies and practices in line with UK regulations (including HACCP)
• Follow detailed cleaning schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Support the kitchen team by replenishing stock, reporting low supplies, and assisting where required during peak service times
• Handle kitchen equipment and items carefully to minimise breakages and maintain inventory integrity
• Replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning materials where required
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment

What we're looking for... A successful Kitchen Porter for Soho House will ideally have up to 2 years' experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first-class service. You'll be reliable, friendly, and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.

Requirements:

• Previous cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial experience preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Reliability, discretion, and a professional attitude
