The District Support Pharmacist's responsibilities include:

• Managing and improving patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
• Traveling to fill pharmacist shifts, overseeing pharmacy operations, and serving as a proxy for the Pharmacy Manager
• Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, following pharmacy workflow procedures, and utilizing safety guardrails
• Assuming Pharmacy Manager duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, and coaching the pharmacy team to do the same
• Proactively offering and delivering immunizations, and engaging Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize
• Supporting effective management of pharmacy inventory, following inventory best practices, and protecting cold chain products
• Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs, while contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic
• Maintaining relevant clinical and technical skills, and actively seeking opportunities to expand knowledge
• Supporting access to care and improving patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care
• Understanding and complying with all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, and professional standards

The position requires:

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Not being on the DEA Excluded Parties list

Preferred qualifications include 1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
