      <description><![CDATA[<p>Holland America Line is seeking a Resident Arts &amp; Crafts Instructor for its 2027 Grand World Voyage.</p>
<p>The Arts &amp; Crafts Instructor leads multiple hands-on classes per sea day as part of the onboard Entertainment and Enrichment program. Classes span jewelry making, beading, macrame, crochet, embroidery, hand-painted crafts, and paper-arts, with destination-inspired themes that rotate through the voyage. Classes are intended for beginner level, with many guests developing their skills and mastering their craft by the end of the voyage.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate is an experienced artist and craft teacher, warm, approachable, and equally at ease in front of a classroom, or in casual conversations with guests throughout the Grand Voyage. When not teaching classes, or prepping for the next class, you will act as an ambassador for Holland America Line.</p>
<p>The Art &amp; Craft Instructor will also be required to develop the voyage-length class calendar, and prepare student craft kits in advance of the January 2027 voyage.</p>
<p>This is a one-time, five-month seagoing contract, with a private cabin, all meals provided, and full guest access to the ship when not teaching classes. Some IPM and safety duties will be required on certain port days.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead multiple one-hour sessions per sea day, open to all guests.</li>
<li>Provide instruction, hands-on guidance, and encouragement, adapting to varying skill levels and physical abilities.</li>
<li>Engage with guests naturally outside of class during the entirety of the voyage.</li>
<li>Design the full class roster and assemble all guest kits while working from home, prior to embarkation in January 2027.</li>
</ul>
<p>Holland America Line will cover all material costs and shipping.</p>
<ul>
<li>Develop a voyage-length calendar with destination-inspired themes in coordination with Holland America Line Entertainment.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the Entertainment team on scheduling and programming.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Skills, Knowledge &amp; Expertise</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience in teaching and instructing or Arts and Crafts.</li>
<li>Experience in designing class instruction, and detailed student lists.</li>
<li>Previous cruise ship experience a plus.</li>

<p>Requirements:</p>

<li>This is a sea-going contract from January 3, 2027 - May 15, 2027.</li>
<li>This is a Resident Presenter contract onboard a Holland America Line vessel Crew Manfiest.</li>
<li>You must have a legal passport valid through the end of 2027.</li>
<li>You must be able to pass a Seafarer Medical Exam as instructed by Holland America Line.</li>
<li>You must obtain any and all required visas as instructed by Holland America Line.</li>
